Our Courses
Here at the Cookery School we specialise in Game and Wild Food. Our ethos is about using what is in season and as far as possible produced or hunted in the surrounding Berkshire countryside.
Most of our courses are one day long and begin just before 10.00 am and finish around 4.00 pm. New for Winter / Spring 2012 we are really excited to introduce a selection of half day demonstrations as well as a few exclusive full day courses with Mike such as Countrywise Kitchen Classics and Mike’s Classic Dishes.
Our cookery course vouchers make fantastic gifts and we can provide you with a voucher to present on the big day. You can either select the course and date yourself or purchase an ‘open’ voucher which is valid for one year and can be to the value of your choice. This more flexible voucher leaves the decision making to the recipient! We hope there is a lot for them to choose from and we are always on the other end of the phone to answer any questions to help them choose.
It is also possible to hire the Cookery School exclusively for a group of friends or family. Please do get in touch with the office to discuss your ideas.
Although Mike endeavours to be there for each of his courses, this is not always possible, so please check when booking if this is important to you. Please use the menu on the left to view our courses.

I thoroughly enjoyed my day on Saturday and would like to thank all concerned. I left feeling inspired to tackle dishes I had been nervous about before, especially making rabbit so delectably tender, (so easily!) The recipes were all delicious and, although I ate far too much, I loved it all! I will have to go into training to be able to dismember the pheasant as effortlessly as Mike did it though. A very neat trick!

Cancellation Policy
Bookings cannot be cancelled and are non-refundable (but you may send someone in your place).
We reserve the right to re-schedule course dates. As much notice as possible will be given.
